In order to fulfil our obligations to you the Client, we ask all new Customers to take a few minutes to read and sign the terms and conditions below:
1) By enrolling the above named dog I confirm that I am the legal owner of the named dog and I assume all risks, dangers and responsibility for injuries to the named dog.
2) All dogs must pass a general behaviour assessment in order to become registered as a Client. Usually this involves a "meet & greet" at our home. We are unable to board or walk any dog that demonstrates aggression towards other animals or humans. As the owner of the above named dog I confirm my dog is friendly to other dogs and humans and shows no aggression.
Any dog demonstrating aggression or other behaviour deemed to be unacceptable by The Dog House Hotel staff may be required to make alternative boarding & walking arrangements irrespective of the length of time the dog has been enrolled with The Dog House Hotel.
3) My dog is fit and healthy and capable of play and exercise with other dogs unless I have made you aware.
4) My dog is fully vaccinated and boosted annually including the kennel cough vaccine. They are also regularly and proactively treated for worms, ticks and fleas. I will provide The Dog House Hotel with an up-to-date copy of of my dog's vaccination record annually. I am not enrolling my dog with The Dog House Hotel that has any condition that could potentially jeopardise the health of other dogs or people and he/she has not had any communicable condition within 21 days prior to enrolment. I also understand that even if my dog is vaccinated for Kennel Cough there is a chance that Kennel Cough can still be contracted. I agree that I will not hold The Dog House Hotel responsible if my dog contracts Kennel Cough.
5) I agree to check my dog regularly for ticks & fleas and to inform The Dog House Hotel of any unwanted passengers. In the event of any fleas being present I understand my dog will not be able to attend board with us until they are flea free.
6) My dog has not been suffering from any infectious or contagious diseases / illnesses or been exposed to such a disease / illness during the 21 days prior to attending The Dog House Hotel walks.
5) My dog will wear a suitable collar with an ID tag at all times.
* The Dog House Hotel Dorset will also add an ID tag for their duration of their stay to show additional contact details.
6) My dog has been microchipped.
7) I will advise you if my female dog is in season. If this is the case she may only board with suitable other female dogs (timings may have to alter to accommodate).
8) I confirm I have appropriate PET INSURANCE to cover my dog's personal injury in the unlikely event of an incident, alternatively I agree to cover any costs relating to accidents that may occur which result in injury to my dog. All dog interaction is monitored by staff to avoid incidents, however I understand my dog may sustain accidental injuries and I agree to cover any veterinary fees pertaining to my dog. The Dog House Hotel nor its employees will not accept responsibility for the death, injury, loss or illness of your dog whilst in our care. YOU ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO INSURE YOUR PET FOR ALL EVENTUALITIES.
9) The Dog House will walk your dog ON LEAD at all times, until a point where it is mutually agreed that you would like your dog walked off lead. I confirm that my dog has good recall and that I will give The Dog House Hotel clear instructions with regards recall commands. In the event my dog runs off The Dog House Hotel will do everything in their power to recall them safely. The Dog House Hotel cannot be held responsible for a lost dog. Cost of Drone to Home services are Client’s responsibility.
10) I confirm my dog is able to travel within the stipulated transport with a dog from another household provided they have been introduced prior to travelling and The Dog House Hotel are confident that both dogs are safe to travel together. Dogs will be harnessed with a dog seat belt for safety.
11) Should your dog become ill or injured The Dog House will contact you immediately. We reserve the right to act in the best interests of the dog at all times, this includes seeking veterinary advice if he/she becomes ill. If you cannot be contacted within a reasonable time or have chosen not to be contacted we reserve the right to seek appropriate and swift veterinary attention and proceed with treatment, comfort and recovery. If euthanasia is deemed absolutely necessary (determined by the vet alone) for whatever reason excluding behavioural (aggression etc) we will accept and act upon that vet advice. MEDIVET in Dorchester is the emergency point of contact on weekends.
12) We reserve the right to refuse or dismiss any dog that does not meet the health or temperament standards we require to maintain a happy and safe environment for all of our Clients.
13) I will provide my dog’s food for their visit and clearly state on the Client Form feeding quantities and timings. I will also confirm if any allergies and foods / snacks to avoid giving my dog.
14) I confirm I will provide all items necessary for the dog to be adequately cared for in the client's absence. e.g. lead, tag, collar, harness, food etc. Poo bags will be provided by The Dog House Hotel & spare bowls are available. Your dog is very welcome to bring their own bed or crate. Should your dog require any additional supplies whilst in the care of The Dog House Hotel these will be purchased and added to the invoice.
15) Your dog will be hosed with warm water and towelled down after a muddy walk if necessary. If needed showered also. Towels are provided. I confirm I my dog can be showered with dog shampoo and hair dried, unless stipulated differently on the Client Form.
16) The Dog House Hotel reserve the right to apply personal judgement and cut short a dog walk due to extreme weather conditions (e.g. heat, thunder storms, blizzard etc) for the safety of both the dog and the walker.
INSURANCE & LIABILITIES
The Dog House Hotel has Public Liability Insurance for Dog Walking, Pet Minding, Pet Taxi, Pet Sitter,
Pet Boarding & Dog Daycare.

24 HOUR STAY £45 (Bank Holidays £60)

DAY GUEST 8am - 6pm: £30 (Bank Holidays £45)

PAYMENT TERMS
A 25% deposit (of the total booking cost) is required to secure your booking dates. A further 25% is due 28 days prior to the booking start date. The remaining full balance must be paid 7 days prior to the booking start date.
All deposits are non-refundable. Although a deposit may be transferrable to a new date within 28 days notice of the cancellation period.
In the event of a booking cancellation, where 28 days or more notice (prior to the booking start date) has been given all fees less the non-refundable deposit will be refunded or transferred to a new booking date.
Bookings that are cancelled between 28 days and 72 hours of the booking start date will require 50% of payment (this includes the deposit). Between 28 days and 48 hours 75% of payment.
ALL BOOKINGS CANCELLED WITHIN 48 HOURS OF THE BOOKING START DATE WILL BE PAYABLE IN FULL.

ILLNESS COVER
On the rare occasion The Dog House Hotel staff are unwell and unable to walk your dog, we will attempt to find alternative help within our network of sitters or will kindly ask Clients to please make alternative arrangements for your dog walk. A full refund will be issued.
HOLIDAYS
Occasionally The Dog House Hotel will need a little holiday. Dates will be advised to regular Clients with as much reasonable notice as possible.
